Vanderbilt Women's Golf | Regional Bound

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt is headed to Westfield.

The Commodores learned their NCAA Regional destination Wednesday during the NCAA postseason selection show. They are one of 12 squads selected to play at The Club at Chatham Hills in Westfield, Indiana, in hopes of advancing to the NCAA Championships on May 26-31 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Vandy, ranked 17th nationally by Golfstat and the No. 3 seed in the Westfield Regional, will tee off May 8 in the three-day, 54-hole tournament used to decide who moves on to the next round. The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site will advance.

One of 72 teams to make the national postseason, Vanderbilt won its regional in 2022, an event hosted at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin.

The Commodores are coming off a quarterfinals appearance at the SEC Championships on April 15. They finished fourth in stroke play before falling to Mississippi State in match play.

Vandy’s 2022-23 season has included wins at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate (Oct. 9) and FAU Paradise Invitational (Feb. 7) as well as six top-five finishes.

The Westfield Regional field also includes Mississippi State, Oregon, Iowa Stat, Virginia, Tulsa, Tennessee, Michigan, Oregon State, Xavier, Lipscomb and Morehead State along with Isabella McCauley and Luisamariana Mesones (Minnesota), Carmen Griffiths (Louisville), Sofia Torres (Colorado State), Lauren Beaudreau (Notre Dame) and Sabrina Coffman (Cleveland State) competing as individuals.
