LET BACK IN ACTION THIS WEEK AT JABRA LADIES OPEN

After a seven week break in the 2023 Ladies European Tour (LET) schedule, action will resume this week as the European swing gets underway at the Jabra Ladies Open.

The tournament marks the sixth event of the season and follows the Aramco Team Series – Singapore event won by Pauline Roussin and Team Christine Wolf.

Staged at the picturesque Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains, France, 132 players from 31 nations will compete for a €300,000 purse over 54 holes from Thursday to Saturday.

Leading the line-up is last year’s Race to Costa del Sol winner Linn Grant. The Swede is seeking her first victory of 2023 after finishing second at the Lalla Meryem Cup in February.

2022 champion Tiia Koivisto will be back to defend her Jabra crown. The Finnish star triumphed in a playoff last over Australia’s Whitney Hillier to land her maiden LET title.

Former winners Pia Babnik and Annabel Dimmock will also be teeing up at Evian’s historic fairways.

Elsewhere, Spain’s Ana Peláez Trivino will be looking continue her strong start to the season. The 25-year-old is currently second in the 2023 Race to Costa del Sol standings and third in the LET Solheim Cup points list.

Also arriving at Evian Resort in red hot form is Lily May Humphreys. The Englishwoman sits fifth in the Race to Costa del Sol standings having tasted success for the first time at the Joburg Ladies Open.

On the home front, there are no fewer than 22 French players teeing it up this week, with Anne-Charlotte Mora, Agathe Sauzon, Emma Grechi, and rookie Nastasia Nadaud leading the charge.

Eight amateurs will also be competing as invitees at this year’s Jabra Ladies Open. This includes PING Junior Solheim Cup star Savannah De Bock, and France’s Louise Uma Landgraf, the 14-year-old who became the youngest ever winner on a women’s professional tour on the LET Access Series last month.

2023 marks the fifth year the Jabra Ladies Open has been staged on the LET schedule. The winner and runner-up will once again be rewarded with automatic qualification into the Amundi Evian Championship.
