Women’s Golf Completes Second Round of NCAA Championships


SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Mississippi State completed the second round of stroke play at the NCAA Women’s Golf Championships on Saturday. After 36 holes, State is tied for 22nd at 13-over par (569).
 
State was able to card an even par (288) second round behind the performances of Hannah Levi and Julia Lopez Ramirez who were both under par for the day. Levi was on fire to begin the day, rolling in four birdies before adding another on the back nine to card a 2-under par (70). Levi is now tied for 62nd with 2-over par for the event.
 
Lopez Ramirez shook off two early bogeys in the first round by sinking an eagle on the seventh hole en route of carding three birdies throughout the round to card a 1-under (71) second round. Lopez Ramirez is even through two rounds and is tied for 38th.
 
Abbey Daniel carded four birdies on the day to finish with 1-over par (73) while Izzy Pellot finished with a 2-over par (74) tally in day two. Surapa Janthamunee was 3-over par (75) on the day.  
 
State will return to the course for the third round of play on Sunday. The Bulldogs will tee off at 2:15 pm CT and will be paired with Texas Tech and Oregon State. The NCAA Championships field will be reduced to 15 teams after the third round
