Grewal Concludes Play at NCAA Championship – Clemson Tigers Official Athletics Site

Scottsdale, Ariz. – Savannah Grewal recorded two birdies in her final round and concluded play for the Tigers at the 2023 NCAA Championship, held at Grayhawk Golf Club. Grewal had advanced to Monday’s final stroke play round after a two-hole playoff on Sunday evening.

The recent Clemson graduate started on hole #10 and birdied 16 for her best hold score of the day, then Grewal made the turn at 18 at +1. After bogeys on 1 and 5, Grewal birded seven to put her back at +2, but made bogey on eight to finish the round at +3 and the tournament tied for 48th overall at +5.

Grewal’s 48th-place finish marks the highest finish by an individual at NCAA Nationals in school history and her +5 ties the best round by an individual at NCAA Nationals.

Rose Zhang of Stanford took home the individual title for the second-straight year, while Stanford, Texas, Wake Forest, South Carolina, Southern California, Florida State, Texas A&M, and Pepperdine all advanced to Tuesday’s match play team championship.
