TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama golfer Benedetta Moresco has been selected as a College Sports Communicators Academic All-American, the organization announced Thursday. Moresco, who was named to the second team, becomes the first Crimson Tide women’s golfer to earn the recognition since 2018 when Kristin Gillman was honored.

- Led all UA golfers during the 2022-23 season with 31 rounds played, and was one of two on the team to compete in all 11 tournaments
- Her 73.19 per round stroke average and +1.29 average vs. par ranked second-best on the squad
- Finished among the top-30 individuals in all but two events on the year, including three top-20 results which ranked second
- Qualified to earn an invite to the 78th U.S. Women’s Open, which will be played July 6-9 in Pebble Beach, Calif.
- Maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA and earned a spot on the 2022-23 President’s List
- Owns a cumulative GPA of 4.0 as a food and nutrition major
- Helped team to a cumulative GPA of 3.95 which led all sports at the University of Alabama in 2022-23
- Named as the 2022 SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year and a WGCA Second Team All-American while also earning First Team All-SEC accolades
