2023-24 Miami Golf Schedule Announced – University of Miami Athletics

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami head golf coach Janice Olivencia announced the Hurricanes’ 2022-23 schedule Wednesday afternoon.

For the third straight season, Miami will open the year at the Cougar Classic (Sept. 11-12) in Charleston, S.C. Last spring, the Hurricanes placed fifth in the event, shooting even-par (852) as a team.

The Hurricanes close out September with a trip to Toledo, Ohio, to compete in the Glass City Invitational, hosted by the University of Toledo (Sept. 25-26). Following a two-week break, Miami is back in action at the Ruth Chris Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C. (Oct. 9-10).

The following weekend, Miami heads out west to participate in the Stanford Intercollegiate in Stanford, Calif., (Oct. 20-22), before returning to Coral Gables, Fla., to host the Hurricane Invitational (Oct. 30-Oct. 31) to close out the fall slate.

Miami finished second in the Hurricane Invitational in 2022, shooting 12-under-par (852) as a team. Rising senior Sara Byrne finished the event tied for sixth at four-under-par (212).

The Hurricanes tee off the spring schedule with three straight tournaments in the state of Florida. Miami first travels to Orlando, Fla., to compete in the UCF Challenge (Feb. 4-6), before visiting Sarasota, Fla., for the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational (Feb. 18-19).

The final tournament in the state will take place in Gainesville, Fla., where the Hurricanes will participate in the Gator Invitational (March 2-3).

Miami heads back to Charleston, S.C., in March to compete in the Briar’s Creek Invitational (March 11-12). The Hurricanes’ final regular season tournament will take place in Sunset, S.C., where Miami will compete in the Clemson Invitational (March 22-24).

The ACC Championship is slated for April 18-21 with the location to be announced at a later date.

NCAA Regional play falls on May 6-8, with the six hosts sites being Auburn, Ala., Cle Elum, Wash., College Station, Texas, East Lansing, Mich., Las Vegas, Nev., and Winston-Salem, N.C.

The NCAA Championship will be held May 17-22 at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa Champions Course in Carlsbad, Calif.
