Vanderbilt Men's Golf | Tough Tests on Tap

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt men’s golf head coach Scott Limbaugh revealed the program’s 2023-24 schedule Monday, one that includes visits to multiple professional tour venues highlighted by an event at the world-renowned St Andrews Golf Links. The Commodores will compete at nine tournaments during the regular season, including ones hosted by Arkansas and Florida State, while once again playing host to the Mason Rudolph Championship.

“We have once again put together a great schedule for this season,” Limbaugh said. “Our goal each year is to give our guys an opportunity to play against the very best competition on some of the best courses in the world. We have added several new tournaments to the fall and spring schedules while also going to some of our annual favorites. We will start and finish the fall with new events at the Valero and at St Andrews.”

The fall season includes multiple visits to Texas to take part in the Valero Texas Collegiate (Sept. 9-11) and Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational (Oct. 2-3), with a trip to the SEC Fall Preview in between. The first semester schedule will conclude at the inaugural St Andrews Links Collegiate Oct. 23-25, which also includes Georgetown, North Carolina and Notre Dame in the field. Coverage of the tournament will be available on GOLF Channel and Peacock in the United States as well as Sky Sports in the U.K.

“Obviously, going to the St Andrews Links Collegiate and playing the Old Course will be about as cool of an experience as you can have in this game,” said Limbaugh. “It will be great to get to share that experience with our women’s team as well.”

The Commodores will look to defend tournament titles at the Watersound Invitational (Feb. 18-20) and Cabo Collegiate (March 3-5)—events hosted by Florida State and Arkansas, respectively—to begin the spring campaign. Vandy will also compete at the Pauma Valley Invitational (March 18-19) and Valspar Collegiate Invitational (March 25-26) before closing the regular season with the Mason Rudolph Championship at the Vanderbilt Legends Club South Course April 5-7.

“The spring season will be a lot of fun with new additions at the Valspar at the Floridian Golf Club and the Pauma Valley Invitational just outside of San Diego,” Limbaugh said. “We think all of these tournaments will help us grow and ultimately help us be our best when our best is needed the most.”
