CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – UVA men’s golfers Pietro Bovari (Milano, Italy) and George Duangmanee (Fairfax, Va.) have been recognized by the Golf Coaches Association of America for academic excellence by being named All-America Scholars for their performance in the classroom. It marks the second year in a row both players were honored by the GCAA.

Both Bovari and Duangmanee helped UVA to a program-best seventh-place finish at the 2023 NCAA Championships. Duangmanee appeared in all 13 tournaments and posted a 72.73 scoring average with a pair of top-10 outings. Bovari was second on the team with a 71.71 stroke average. He had three top-10 finishes.

Bovari and Duangmanee were previously named to the 2023 ACC Honor Roll and the ACC All-Academic team. Duangmanee is a rising senior while Bovari graduated last spring with a degree in economics.
