Golden Bears Maintained Impressive Grade-Point Average In 2022-23

NORMAN, Okla. – The California men’s golf team earned the Outstanding Team Academic Award from the Golf Coaches Association of America for the 14th time in the past 15 seasons on Thursday.

The Golden Bears were recognized with All-Academic Team status for maintaining a team grade-point average of 3.0 or better throughout the 2022-23 academic year. Cal has received the award in each of the past eight years – including the prestigious Presidents Special Recognition in 2020-21 – and 14 times since the 2008-09 campaign.

The team award is the latest in a slew of academic honors earned by the Bears this week; rising seniors Aaron Du and Sampson Zheng and former Bear Simon Kwon were tabbed as 2022-23 All-America Scholars by the GCAA on Wednesday.
