Men's golf announces 2023 fall tournament schedule

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin men’s golf team has announced its 2023 fall tournament schedule and will play two of the five tournaments in home territory.

Most notably, the fall schedule includes the annual home Badger Invitational on October 1-3 at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison.

Wisconsin opens competitive play at the Marquette Intercollegiate on Sunday, Sept. 3 – Tuesday, Sept. 5. The tournament hosted by the Badgers’ in-state rival Golden Eagles will be held at Erin Hills Golf Course in Erin, Wis. The Badgers were led by Daniel Aas and Cameron Huss in last year’s Marquette Intercollegiate, including Aas shooting a 69 in the second round.

The Badgers travel to the Visit Knoxville Collegiate tournament in Louden, Tennessee on Friday, Sept. 8 – Sunday, Sept. 10. Hosted by Tennessee, the event will be held at the Tennessee National Golf Club.

Wisconsin returns to the Midwest for the Windon Memorial Classic hosted by Northwestern on Monday, Sept. 25 – Tuesday, Sept. 26. The two-day tournament will be held at Sunset Ridge Country Club in Northfield, Ill. Maxime Legros paced the Badgers at last year’s Windon, shooting a third-round 66 to finish T13 overall.

The Badgers return home to host their annual tournament, the Badger Invitational, on Sunday, Oct. – Tuesday, Oct. 3. Held at the team’s nationally-ranked home course University Ridge, the tournament historically includes 12-18 of the nation’s collegiate teams. Wisconsin finished an impressive second overall last year out of 18 teams with two top-10 finishes by Legros and teammate Clayton Tribus. This is a free event for fans.

Wisconsin caps the fall season on the road at the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational in Saucier, Mississippi. The tournament is hosted by Ole Miss on Sunday, Oct. 15 – Tuesday, Oct. 17 at Fallen Oak Golf Course.
