Edwards Added to Vandy Men’s Golf Staff

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt men’s golf head coach Scott Limbaugh announced Tuesday, the hiring of Brady Edwards as assistant coach and director of operations for the Commodores.

“I am thrilled to be adding Brady Edwards to our coaching staff,” said Limbaugh. “My number one goal is to help our guys grow on-and-off the course and find coaches that will invest in our players daily. I believe Brady will do that and his experience as a head coach will add a lot of value to our staff. Before he began his coaching career, he worked for TrackMan and helped some of the best players in the world on the PGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, and LPGA Tour developing tour analytics. Most importantly, he loves coaching and he is pumped to be coming to Vanderbilt.

“I really appreciate Candice Storey Lee and our administration for giving us this opportunity to add to our staff and continue to grow forward.”

Edwards joins Vanderbilt after spending the 2022-23 season as the men’s and women’s golf head coach at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix, where both golf programs experienced success on the national level. The men’s golf team ranked No. 1 in National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II according to GolfStat and the Coaches America Poll and finished in a tie for third at the NJCAA Division II National Championships. The women’s team posted its highest ranking in program history, coming in at No. 12 in the GolfStat rankings. Edwards also had three men’s South Mountain golfers graduate and move on to NCAA Division I programs.

In addition to the success on the course, the South Mountain Community College men’s golf team earned its first NJCAA National Academic Team of the Year award under Edwards.

“I’m very excited at the unique opportunity that Coach Limbaugh and the athletic staff at Vanderbilt have provided,” stated Edwards. “I’m thrilled to be with the team and help them gain national success in any way possible.”

Prior to his time at South Mountain, Edwards spent three years on the PGA, Korn Ferry, and LPGA Tours as a TrackMan tour representative developing tour analytics and serving as a technology specialist. He worked closely with players to deliver software and analytics with a focus on player development, giving individuals better tools to practice and improve on-course decision making.
