Men’s Golf Third After Day One


Cape Girardeau, Mo. – The Missouri men’s golf team sits in third place after the first day of action at the Golfweek Collegiate Kickoff.

Senior Jack Lundin paced the Tigers with a nine-under tally through the first 36 holes of action. Lundin is second overall of the 72 golfers in action following an opening-round 67 followed by a 68 in the day’s second 18 holes. The senior carded 12 birdies against just three bogeys to lead Mizzou at the season’s opening tournament.

Senior Charlie Crockett is in 17th place at two-under and is followed by Dagbjartur Sigurbrandsson in 25th at one-over and Adam Miller and Alfons Bondesson in 37th at four-over.

LSU leads the team leaderboard at 20-under, while Stetson is second at 12-under and Mizzou third at seven-under. The second round was suspended late in the day due to inclement weather with no more than two holes remaining for any golfer. The action picks back up tomorrow morning at 7:45 a.m. before the final round tees off at 8:30 a.m.
