LAKE ELMO, Minn. – The Mississippi State women’s golf team secured an under-par finish on day two of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate, fueled by a trio of low scores.
Avery Weed secured a team-best score on round two. A pair of birdies and an eagle helped the freshman from Ocean Springs finish her day with a 69. Weed’s finish marked a career-best score and her first collegiate round in the 60’s.
Surapa Janthamunee shot her second 71 in as many days. Janthamunee concluded her day with a birdie, giving her a total of six on the day. After two rounds, SJ sits in a tie for 15th with a score of 2-under.
Julia Lopez Ramirez also finished the second round 1-under par. Julia has shot par or better in every round of golf she has played in the season. Izzy Pellot completed her day 3-over par, while Chiara Horder finished 5-over.
