The fifth year from Hilton Head Island, S.C., posted a cumulative 1-under 212 (71-72-69) to lead the Tech contingent. VT fired an 11-over 863 (289-288-286) to tie for eighth in the team standings with Little Rock. In addition to Azallion, Charlie Hanson tied for 22nd at 215 (71-72-72) and Kobe Valociek tied for 30th at 216 (72-71-73).
Chattanooga recorded a 14-under 838 (276-283-279) to run away with the team title. Louisville was the runner-up at 6-under 846 (286-277-283).
Sebastian Moss of Louisville claimed the individual title, logging a 12-under 201 (67-69-65). Cincinnati’s Connor McNeely fired an 8-under 205 (65-68-72) to take second.
The Hokies return to the links Sunday, Sept. 24 at Duke’s Rod Myers Invitational. The Blue Devils will host the two-day event at Duke University Golf Club in Durham, N.C.
