The Nebraska men’s golf team resumes fall season competition by traveling to Wisconsin for the Badger Invitational (Oct. 1-3).
Following a practice round on Saturday, the Huskers will take aim at the par 72, 7,106-yard layout of the University Ridge Golf Course outside of Madison, beginning with tee times for the 18-team field at 9:30 a.m. (CT) on Sunday, Oct. 1.
The Huskers will be back in action for the second round on Monday with tee times again at 9:30 a.m. (CT), before concluding the 54-hole tournament with the final round on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. (CT).
The Big Red will be part of a field that features six 2023 NCAA Regional qualifiers, including Illinois State, Long Beach State, Marquette, Middle Tennessee, Northern Illinois and the hosts from Wisconsin, along with contenders Ball State, Campbell, Central Arkansas, Eastern Michigan, Florida Gulf Coast, Loyola-Chicago, Maryland, Nebraska, South Alabama, South Dakota State, VCU and Western Carolina.
In addition to the team competition at the Badger Invitational, Husker sophomore Davis Johnson will compete in the TPC Individual held at the nearby TPC Wisconsin (Oct. 1-2).
Nebraska will look to improve on its performance at the 2022 Badger Invitational, when the Huskers finished fourth with a two-round total of 571 (-5). Will Marshall led the Huskers last year, tying for 16th with a 142 (-2).
