Final Round of Blessings Collegiate Invitational Cancelled – University of South Carolina Athletics

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The third and final round of the Blessings Collegiate Invitational has been cancelled due to inclement weather in the Northwest Arkansas region on Wednesday. Results thru 36 holes are final for the event.

The fifth-ranked Gamecock women’s team finished fifth with a 36-hole total of 589 (+13). The men’s team finished ninth with a 36-hole total of 600 (+24).

Carolina’s women’s squad was led by junior All-American Louise Rydqvist and freshman Vairana Heck, who each T-12^th at 2-over. Sophomore Mia Sandtorv Lussand also notched a top-20 finish as she T-16^th at 3-over.

Transfer Frankie Harris led the men’s team with a T-11^th finish at even par. It’s the first top-20 in Garnet & Black for the Boca Raton, Fla., native.

The women’s team will remain on the road as it travels to Dallas for the fall finale at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup (Oct. 9-11). It’s the third-straight year the program is competing at the prestigious event. Golf Channel will again be providing coverage all three days.

The men’s team is off until the end of the month when it will wrap-up the fall season at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate (Oct. 29-31).
