The Nebraska men’s golf team continues a busy stretch when the Huskers travel to West Lafayette, Ind., for the Purdue Fall Invitational (Oct. 9-10).
Following a practice round on Sunday, action gets underway with an 8 a.m. (CT) shotgun start on the par-71, 7,245-yard layout at the Ackerman-Allen Golf Course on Monday, Oct. 9.
The Huskers will be part of a 15-team field set to compete in 36 holes on Monday, before concluding the tournament with the third round on Tuesday, which also will feature an 8 a.m. (CT) shotgun start.
The field at Purdue features four 2023 NCAA Regional qualifiers led by Illinois, Illinois State, Northern Illinois and the hosts from Purdue. Nebraska recently notched a win over Northern Illinois at the Badger Invitational (Oct. 1-3).
The Huskers finished sixth in an 18-team field in Wisconsin, which featured six of the same teams that NU will face at Purdue, including Illinois State (2nd), VCU (T4th), Central Arkansas (8th), Northern Illinois (T9th), Ball State (T11th) and Eastern Michigan (13th).
Butler, Dayton, DePaul, Miami (Ohio), UNLV and Western Kentucky round out the field.
Junior Harry Crockett and seniors Reed Malleck and Gentry Scheve round out the Husker contingent in Indiana.
