Former Husker Scott Gutschewski was one of 30 professionals to earn their PGA Tour cards for the 2024 season, when the Korn Ferry Tour finalized its top performers on its season points list on Sunday, Oct. 8.
Gutschewski finished 28th on the 2023 Korn Ferry Tour Points List to earn his card for a seventh career season on the PGA Tour. The three-time Husker letterwinner (1997-99) who helped Nebraska to its best team finish in school history by taking 14th at the 1999 NCAA Championships, earned spots on the PGA Tour in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2022.
Gutschewski’s 2023 Korn Ferry Tour season was highlighted by a tournament victory at the LECOM Suncoast Classic in late April, sinking a 40-foot birdie putt from off the green on the first playoff hole. It was one of seven top-30 finishes for Gutschewski during the Korn Ferry Tour season.
