PULLMAN, Wash. (Oct. 15, 2023) – The Washington State men’s golf team concludes its 2023 Fall schedule this week when it travels to Stockton, Calif. for the 2023 Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational, Oct. 16-18. This marks the third-straight week of tournament action for the Cougars.
The Course and Tournament Format
The 2023 Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational will be held at The Reserve at Spanos Park. The course will play as a par-72 at 7,278 yards. Teams will play 18 holes each day.
The Cougars are very familiar with the course layout, having captured the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational in 2021, setting a program-record low three-round score at 816 (36-under-par).

Last Time Out
Trailing by 13 strokes entering the final round, Washington State made a late charge in windy, rainy conditions, cutting the lead to four at one point, before finishing six strokes off the pace and in second place at the 2023 Oregon State Invitational. For the third-straight event, sophomore Sam Renner finished as the low Cougar, concluding his tournament at 1-over, 214, and in a tie for sixth overall.

Head Coach Dustin White is in his eighth season leading his alma mater. The 2023-24 Cougar squad, which returns nine members from last season, looks to build of the 2023 campaign which saw WSU post its best showing at a Pac-12 Championship, finishing in a tie for third. The Cougars also made a return to postseason play competing in the 2023 National Golf Invitational Championship, only the second time in program history that WSU has played in a postseason tournament, and first since the 2002 NCAA West Regional. The Cougars finished in a tie for sixth at the NGI.
