Janthamunee Leads after Day Two of The Ally

Janthamunee Leads after Day Two of The Ally

WEST POINT, Miss. – After a windy second day at Old Waverly Golf Club, the Mississippi State Bulldogs sit in fourth place as a team at 11-over. Highlighting the scorecard for the Bulldogs is sophomore Surapa Janthamunee, who sits in a tie for first place at four-under.

Day one for Janthamunee was successful, as she ended five-under. SJ was able to maintain a lead as she finished one-over par on the day. With the windy conditions being a factor on the course, the sophomore was one of ten golfers who were able to finish one-over or better to hold her lead. Janthamunee is currently tied with Indiana’s Caroline Craig for the top spot.

Jarutrawee Khotchagrai was one of the other ten golfers to finish one-over or better. The senior, who is competing individually, matched SJ’s second round score. Khotchagrai’s six birdies on the day marked the most birdies of any Mississippi State golfer on day two. JK sits in a tie for 29th at five-over par.

The final round of The Ally begins at 8 a.m. on Wednesday. Live stats will be available at golfstat.com
