Stanford Finishes Sixth to Close Fall Slate


PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Stanford concluded the fall schedule on Tuesday afternoon at the Cypress Point classic, placing sixth at the tournament after falling to Auburn, 5-1, in singles match play.
 
Jake Beber-Frankel tallied a 1up victory over Auburn’s Reed Lotter in the Cardinal’s lone match win. In the championship match, Arizona State defeated Texas via tiebreaker, 3-3, as the Sun Devils won the most holes across six matches.
 
Stanford returns to the course on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate to kick off a slate of five regular season spring events. The Pac-12 Championships will take place on Apr. 26-28 ahead of NCAA Regionals (May 13-15) and Championships (May 24-29).
