PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State Men’s Golf Head Coach Dustin White announced Friday that Tate Bruggeman, Dylan Burcham and Garrett Harrison have signed National Letters of Intent to play golf for the Cougars beginning next fall.
“We are excited to get these guys here next fall and start working with them,” said White. “They all have solid skill sets and love to compete. Their resumes show they have excelled on a national stage in junior golf and that they’re ready for the next step in college golf. During the recruiting process, it was clear they fit the characteristics we value in our program and would work hard to continue to move things forward.”
Bruggeman, from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, brings a strong resume with him to Pullman. In addition to being part of the winning 2022 High School Team Provincial Championship, this past year has seen him capture the 2023 Golf Canada Next Gen Fall Series West Championship. He also finished third at both the Future Champions Golf Callaway World Championship and the American Junior Golf Association Se Ri Pak Desert Junior event.
Despite coming from Canada, Bruggeman will have a bit of home close by as his sister, Jenna, is a member of the University of Idaho women’s golf team.
Burcham hails from Valencia, Calif. where he attended William S. Hart High School. A three-time All-Foothill League First Team selection, Burcham qualified for 2023 US Junior Amateur, finishing T-25th in the 256-player field. He also finished second at the 2023 SCPGA Toyota Tour Cup at Redhawk Golf Club in Temecula, Calif. Burcham finished the SCPGA Toyota Tour Cup. with 11 top 15 finishes.
Harrison, from Granite Bay, Calif., is a three-time All-Sierra Foothill League First Team selection each of his first three years at Granite Bay High School. This past summer, Harrison posted four Top 25 finishes on the AJGA tour, including an 11th-place finish at the Clovis CVB Junior Championship and a 14th place showing at the Brandon Wu Championship.
Next fall Harrison will be reunited with his sister, Hannah, who is a sophomore on the WSU Women’s Golf team.
“I’m excited to see what Tate, Dylan and Garrett’s years look like here at WSU and know they will make the most of the opportunity to represent the Cougs,” White added.
