Heritage acquires Old Hickory, its 34th course

Not content to sit on its laurels, Heritage Golf Group has acquired another course: Old Hickory Golf Club in the St. Louis, Missouri area. This marks Heritage’s 34th acquisition in less than four years.

Old Hickory, opened in 2002, is an 18-hole course covering some 260 acres designed by PB Dye, who always envisioned the course as a world-class facility and designed it accordingly.

“Rolling mounds, water hazards, sand bunkers, dunes, hallows, bunkered greens, and my trademark railroad ties are sure to seduce, threaten and challenge every golfer,” Dye said, in a quote on the club’s website.

It features one of the largest practice facilities in the area, as well as other amenities such as a swimming pool and clubhouse. The club is well-known for its event space, with banquet rooms that can accommodate up to 150 guests. Heritage is planning to invest more than a million dollars to update the course, practice facility and select areas of the clubhouse.

Heritage owns two other courses in the area, WingHaven Country Club and The Legends Country Club and expects Old Hickory to complement the offerings at those courses. The company offers membership in the Heritage Plus Network, which provides the same benefits to members at any of the courses under Heritage’s umbrella.

“Heritage has consistently and successfully invested in resources and talent to elevate the Members’ private club experience at the clubs in their collection. We are pleased for them to be the next steward of Old Hickory,” said Gary Hill, Managing Partner of the selling group.
