KOHALA COAST, Hawaii Jake Beber-Frankel highlighted day two on Mauna Lani Golf Resort by shooting a 65 in Friday’s second round to storm into the Top-20 of the Amer Ari Intercollegiate. 

The Miami native rattled off an eagle and seven birdies along with one bogey in the round to move up 32 spots in the individual leaderboard during Friday’s action. 

Fellow senior Karl Vilips continued his strong tournament with a 66 on day two on the Kohala Coast, improving upon his opening round score by two strokes. Vilips posted two eagles, four birdies, and two birdies in his second trip around the coirse. 

Barclay Brown and Michael Thorbjornsen each saw up-and-down second rounds, with Brown heading to the clubhouse one under par on the day while Thorbjornsen finished with an even-par 72. 

Sean-Karl Dobson bounced back after a rocky opening round with a two-under 70 in round two to shave four strokes off yesterday’s performance. 

On the individual side, Dean Greyserman finished the day with a two-over 74. 

As a team, Stanford finished the day as one of the tournaments biggest movers as they heading into Saturday’s final round tied-7th in the team standings. 

Final round action resumes on Saturday morning with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.
