KAILUA KONA, Hawaii (February 20, 2024) – Madelyn Gamble finished under-par for the second-straight round as the Washington State Women’s Golf team sits in 10th after two rounds at the Pac-12 Preview.
The team shot a 13-over, 305 on the par-73, 6,449-yard Nanea Golf Club on day two, behind Gamble’s one-under, 72 day, scattering three birdies. Gamble now sits in 9th among the 60-player field with a two-round score of 2-under, 144.
Freshman Alice Johansson and junior Emily Cadwell each finished round two at 4-under, 77. Johansson settled in after going 4-over through her first seven holes to birdie hole one, as well as her final two holes to now place tied for 36th at 6-over, 152. Cadwell had a steady day with a birdie on her second hole and 12 holes for par, to now be tied for 41st with a 7-over, 153.
Junior Sarah Skovgaard-Bils had a pair of birdies on the day to finish at 6-over, 79, while sophomore Hannah Harrison also came in at 6-over, 79 with a birdie on hole eight. Skovgaard-Bils is currently in 50th (10-over, 156) and Harrison is 52nd (12-over, 158).
The Cougars will finish up at the Pac-12 Preview tomorrow with the final round teeing off at 9:30 a.m. PT.
