KAILUA KONA, Hawaii (February 21, 2024) –Washington State Women’s Golf finished their first tournament of the spring season Wednesday afternoon, placing 11th at 38-over, 914 at the Pac-12 Preview.
The team shot a 17-over, 309 in the third and final round on the par-73, 6,449-yard Nanea Golf Club.
Junior Madelyn Gamble came in at 4-over, 77 in the final day for a three-round score of 2-over, 221 to place tied for 15th.
Freshman Alice Johansson and sophomore Hannah Harrison also finished round three at 4-over, 77. Johansson placed tied for 38th with a 10-over, 229 at the tournament, while Harrison finished in 48th at 16-over, 235.
Junior Emily Cadwell finished round three at 6-over, 79 to tie for 44th with a final score of 13-over, 232. Junior Sarah Skovgaard-Bils placed 47th at the event, using a 5-over, 78 final round score to conclude at an overall 15-over, 234.
The Cougars are next slated to compete in the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invite on Monday, March 4 to Tuesday, March 5. The tournament will be hosted by the University of San Francisco in Fairfax, Calif.
