Senior Jack Lundin leads the field after the opening 18 holes at the Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas.
In one of the most competitive fields – featuring eight top-25 schools and five top-50 teams – Lundin matched his career-best tally with a six-under 66 on Sunday. Entering the tournament ranked as the nation’s No. 27 golfer, Lundin carded eight birdies on the day, including four of his final five holes, leading a pack of three golfers by one stroke.
The 66 matched his first-round performance from one month ago at the Arizona National Invitational Tournament as his career-best round.
Lundin was followed by Charlie Crockett (+1) and Alfons Bondesson (+2) on the day.
As a team, the No. 34 Tigers are in 12th place with a score of +2 (290). Round two of the three-day tournament begins on Monday morning at 11 a.m. CT.
