RICHMOND HILL, Ga. – Wisconsin men’s golf is in second place at 10-under par as the team heads into the second day of play of the Invitational at the Ford at the Ford Field & River Club.
Cameron Huss currently leads the Badgers as the senior is in first place at nine-under par, however, not every golfer in the tournament was able to finish the round.
Monday, February 26
Round 2
The second round of play was paused due to a lack of daylight, but the Badgers contributing to the team score were able to finish out the round. Wisconsin is currently in second place after carding a 279 (-9).
Blake Widsom carded a career-low 18-hole score of 65 (-7) in the second round of the invitational. He tallied an impressive eight birdies during his record-breaking round.
Huss followed closely behind, shooting a six-under 66 with five birdies and an eagle. Coalter Smith shot a one-over 72, while Jacob Beckman carded a three-over 75. Spencer Turtz rounded out the team lineup with a four-over 76.
Individual Graham Moody was unable to finish the round before play suspended.
Round 1
The Badgers shot a 287 (-1) in the opening round of the Invitational at the Ford, placing them tied for fifth.
Huss paced the Wisconsin golfers, shooting a three-under 69, and Wisdom carded a one-under 71.
Turtz shot a one-over 73, while Beckman followed closely with a two-over 74. Smith carded a three-over 75 to round out the team lineup, and Moody, who is competing individually, tallied a six-over 78.
