PULLMAN, Wash. (March 11, 2024) – The Washington State men’s golf team is back in action this week to play in the GCU Invitational hosted by Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona from Tuesday Mar. 12 to Wednesday, Mar. 13.
The Course and Tournament Format
The GCU Invitational will be held at the GCU Golf Course. The course will play as a par-71 at 7,239 yards. Teams will play 36 holes on day one, and 18 holes on day two with an 8 a.m. PT shotgun start each day.

Last Time Out
WSU placed tied for ninth at The Prestige on Feb. 21, finishing at 7-under, 845 on the par-71, 7,100-yard Greg Norman Course at PGA West. The Cougs ended day one at 2-under, 566 after the first two rounds behind a 7-under, 135 performances from Pono Yanagi. WSU ended the tournament with a 5-under in the final round, as Drayton Joseph had a career-best day, shooting a 3-under, 68.
WSU Golf
Head Coach Dustin White is in his eighth season leading his alma mater. The 2023-24 Cougar squad, which returns nine members from last season, looks to build of the 2023 campaign which saw WSU post its best showing at a Pac-12 Championship, finishing in a tie for third. The Cougars also made a return to postseason play competing in the 2023 National Golf Invitational Championship, only the second time in program history that WSU has played in a postseason tournament, and first since the 2002 NCAA West Regional. The Cougars finished in a tie for sixth at the NGI.
