Women's Golf in First After Day Two


The University of Missouri women’s golf team is on the top of the leaderboard after day two of the Tulane Classic with three Mizzou golfers in the top 15 in the individual standings.

Mizzou is in first after the second round with a team total of 589 (+13), two strokes ahead of ranked Colorado State at 15-over.

Freshman Fleur van Beek jumps up to second place during the second round of play after her second-straight 71. She carded three birdies and two bogeys in her second round. Looking at the final, van Beek is one shot back from the lead.

Two more Tigers are in the top-15 includes Emily Staples and Addie Dobson. At +2, Staples (71-75) currently sits in seventh and only five strokes from the leader. Dobson finished the second day with an even 72 on the scorecard to move up 15 spots into 11th at +3 (75-72).

The final round begins at 8:30 a.m. CT tomorrow with a shotgun start for the field in New Orleans.
