Penn State Wraps Up The Johnnie-O at Sea Island

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – The Penn State men’s golf team wrapped up The Johnnie-O at Sea Island with the third and final round Tuesday.
 
The Nittany Lions finished tied for 13th in the 14-team field at 10-over, 874. Penn State shot a 6-over, 294, in Tuesday’s final round.
 
Jake Griffin led the Nittany Lions as he finished tied for 26th at 1-under, 215. Griffin carded a 1-under, 71, in the final round.
 
Patrick Sheehan followed at 2-over, 218, to place tied for 38th after shooting a 2-over, 73, Tuesday.
 
Zach Smith sat at 6-over, 222, to finish tied for 58th following a 3-over, 75, in the third round. Jimmy Meyers shot a 6-over, 78, Tuesday and placed tied for 67th at 9-over, 225.Billy Pabst Jr. carded a 3-over, 75, in the final round and finished tied for 76th at 11-over, 227.
 
The Nittany Lions return to action in two weeks at the Seahawk Intercollegiate in Wilmington, N.C. from March 24-25.
