Sunset, S.C. – Clemson women’s golf shot a three-under-par 285 to sit in second place following the first round of the 2024 Clemson Invitational. The Tigers are tied with Texas A&M, who also shot a 285 on the day.
Annabelle Pancake and Chloe Holder paced the Tigers, each shooting a -2, and are tied for ninth overall after round one. Pancake shot a -3 on the front nine and a +1 on the back nine, while Holder shot a -2 on the front and even on the back.
Isabella Rawl finished the day at even par to finish tied for 20th, while Sydney Roberts is reid for 31st at +1. Melena Barrientos recorded the Tigers’ only eagle on the day, with a three on the par-five 11, and finished the day at +2. As individuals, Ivy Schulze and Katherine Schuster finished at +6 and +4, respectively.
Vanderbilt leads the team scoring at -8, while LSU is in fourth at -1 and Ohio State rounds out the top five at even. Furman’s Anna Morgan leads the individual field, shooting a -8 on Friday’s first round.
Clemson is back in action on Saturday, opening the second round at 10:00 a.m. and teeing off on hole No. 1.
