WILMINGTON, NC — The Maryland men’s golf team finished up competition Monday at the UNCW Seahawk Intercollegiate at Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C.
Freshman Yang Kuang led the Terrapins in the event with a score of 223. His third round on Monday was his best showing, going one under with a 71. He wrapped up his first round with a 73 and 79 in the second round.
Fifth-year Ben Cooper wrapped up the weekend with a score of 226 (77-77-72), which tied him for 34th and junior Florian Huerlimann closed out with a 233 (77-78-78). Following them was freshman Manato Nakatani with a score of 235 (84-74-77) and senior Jack Woods with a 248 (87-77-84).
As a team, the Terrapins finished in 15th of 16 teams with a score of 915 (311-306-298).
Up next, the Terps travel to Charlottesville, VA for the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial at Birdwood Golf Course April 8-9.
