SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The seventh-ranked Tennessee men’s golf team is tied for third following two rounds at The Goodwin.
The Vols shot 6-over in round two and enter the final round tied with San Francisco at 5-over overall.
Bryce Lewis led the Vols on Friday after shooting an even-par 70 in tough weather conditions. The redshirt senior is 1-under overall and tied for sixth place ahead of round three.
Additionally, Lewis enters day three tied for fourth in par four scoring (3.96) among a 168-player field.
Bruce Murphy provided UT with its second-best score during Friday’s round, a 1-over 71, and enters the final round tied for 44th at 4-over.
Lance Simpson posted a 2-over 72 in round two and is even-par overall. The redshirt junior is tied for 12th and just one stroke outside the top 10 ahead of round three.
Redshirt senior Jake Hall posted a 3-over 73 in the second round to give Tennessee its final counting round of the day. Hall is currently 2-over through 36 holes and tied for 27th.
Josh Hill shot a 4-over 74 in Friday’s round and enters Sunday tied for 120th.
