SAN FRANCISCO – The USC men’s golf team concluded the second day at The Goodwin on Friday (Mar. 29) at Harding Park Golf Course. The Trojans wrapped up the day in a total of 19-over (73+74+75+77=299). The team currently has a tournament total of 34-over and is slotted at a tie for 27th.
After day two, where just two teams shot under-par, Utah moved into the overall lead at 3-over for its tournament total.
Nicolas Dominguez was USC’s top finisher of the day, recording the same score as his day one finish at 3-over (73). He shot one birdie on the fourth hole and currently is tied for 68th.
Krando Nishiba, USC’s second-best finisher of the day, bounced back after a tough first round on Thursday. Nishiba also shot a birdie on the fourth hole, and finished his round 4-over (74). He is currently tied for 151st.
Gavin Aurilia recorded his second-day round at 5-over (75). He collected two birdies (holes 7 and 15) and currently sits in a tie for 77th.
Antonio Safa nabbed three birdies (holes 4, 5 and 10), but found some challenges elsewhere on the course, finishing the second round at 7-over (77). Safa is currently tied at 139th .
Sam Lape wrapped up the second round at 11-over (81) and is tied for 162nd.
The Trojans will play one more round on Saturday (Mar. 30) teeing off at 7 a.m PT.
