NAPA, Calif. – Senior Stefanie Deng birdied four of her last five holes to turn in the lowest score of the day among Washington’s players Wednesday at the third and final round of the Chevron Silverado Showdown.
Deng carded a 2-over 74 thanks to her final charge, as Washington finished the three-day tournament at the Silverado North Course in 14th place with a team score of 33-over 897.
Senior Camille Boyd was the Huskies’ top finisher overall, as her three-day total landed her at 6-over, tying her for 32nd place.
Sophomore Carmen Lim had both the second-lowest round of the day and was the UW’s second-best finisher on the individual leaderboard. On Wednesday, she carded a 3-over 75 and, for the tournament, was 8-over, tying her for 43rd.
The Silverado Showdown marked the end of the regular season, as the Huskies’ next competition is the Pac-12 Championships, April 21-23, at Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Wash.
