THIS WEEK
The University of Iowa women’s golf team travels to Havre de Grace, Maryland, for the Big Ten Championships on April 19-21. The 54-hole tournament will be held at the Bulle Rock Golf Course (par 72, 6,314 yards) with an 8:30 a.m. (CT) shotgun start scheduled on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The tournament will be a play six, count four format.

THE LINEUP
The Hawkeyes’ lineup will include: sophomore Madison Dabagia, junior Paula Miranda, freshman Ximena Benites, sophomore Kaitlyn Hanna, sophomore Riley Lewis and sophomore Shannyn Vogler.
• Miranda will be competing in her third Big Ten Championship, while Dabagia, Hanna, Lewis and Vogler are in the championship field for a second straight year. Benites is making her Big Ten Championship debut.
THE FIELD
The 14-team field includes: Illinois (67), Indiana (74) , Iowa (93), Maryland (41), Michigan (37), Michigan State (32), Minnesota (58), Nebraska (71), Northwestern (9), Ohio State (30), Penn State (100), Purdue (33), Rutgers (85) and Wisconsin (69).
THE COURSE
Former home to five LGPA Championships, Bulle Rock Golf Course is home to 18 holes of visible tee shots, terrific green complexes, and great course conditions. Pete Dye built this course in 1998 on the old Blenheim Farm, which had been home to many thor- oughbred race horses. Bulle Rock course is the top ranked daily fee course in Maryland.
LAST MEET
Iowa fired a 54-hole total of 917 en route to a 12th place finish at the Buckeye Invitational, which wrapped up on April 14. Sopho- more Riley Lewis paced the team, tying for 36th with a 13-over par 229.
2023 BIG TEN REVIEW
The Hawkeyes finished 11th at the 2023 Big Ten Championships at Fox Chapel Golf Club in Pittsburgh. Iowa carded a 54-hole total of 909 (302-299-307). Shannyn Vogler led the team, tying for 34th place with a 228 (76-73-79), while Paula Miranda and Jordan Amelon both tied for 40th.
MIRANDA NOTCHES TOP-5 FINISH
Junior Paula Miranda finished with back-to-back sub-par rounds en route to tying for fifth place at the Chattanooga Classic on April 9. The Mexico native fired a final round 67 (-4) and finished the 54-hole tournament with a 212 (75-70-67). It was Miranda’s highest finish of the season and the third top 10 finish of her career. She has led or tied for the team lead in three tournaments this season.
