Hsieh Turns In Low UW Round On Day One At Pac-12s

PULLMAN, Wash. – Junior Jamie Hsieh turned in the low UW round of the day, with a 2-over 74, as the Washington women’s golf team opened play with the first round of the 2024 Pac-12 Championships, at Palouse Ridge Golf Club.
 
The Huskies finished the first of three rounds with a team score of 14-over 302, placing them seventh, but only five strokes out of the top three.
 
Hsieh’s scorecard was relatively clean, with a birdie on each nine, alongside four bogies. Only five players in the 55-woman field finished the opening round under-par. Hsieh heads into the second round in a tie for 13th place.
 
Freshman Vivian Lu wrapped up her first 18 holes one stroke back of Hsieh, with a 3-over 75, while senior Camille Boyd was third among UW’s five golfers, with a 4-over 76. Fellow senior Stefanie Deng was one more stroke back, with a 77.
 
Play resumes Monday at Palouse Ridge, with the second round. The Huskies will open round two on the 10th hole, starting at 9:20 a.m. PT.
