Husky Men’s Golf Signs Irish International Jake Foley


SEATTLE – Washington head men’s golf coach Alan Murray has announced the Huskies’ fifth signing for the 2024 signing class, with Irish amateur Jake Foley inking a National Letter of Intent.
 
A native of Dublin playing out of Elm Park Golf Club, Foley owns nine career top-10 finishes, including wins at the European Juniors International, the FCG Callaway Collegiate World Championship and the Mallow Golf Club Senior Scratch Cup and was a qualifier for the 2023 US Junior Amateur Championship.
 
“We are really excited to add Jake to our roster,” head coach Alan Murray said. “He has played well in a variety of regions in the world and shown that his game can travel, which is a trait of the best players. He is a smart kid and will fit in well with our incoming class.”
 
Owning a scoring average of 73.60, the Blackrock College product still has his best golf well in front of him in Murray’s eyes.
 
“Jake has improved steadily over the last few years and I think he will improve throughout his time at Washington. We pride ourselves on developing guys games and Jake has a great head on his shoulders and will be a great addition to our team.”
 
Foley joins four other signees for the Huskies in Amilkar Bhana, Abel Derksen, Brock Maulding and fellow Irish international Jack Murphy.
