USC’s Catherine Sits in a Tie for First After Day One at the Pac-12 Tournament

PULLMAN, Wash. – Sophomore Catherine Park continues her streak of success, as she is tied for first after round one of the Pac-12 Tournament on Sunday, Apr. 21 at the Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Washington. 
 
USC ranks fourth as a squad after round one, as it was ten-over-par. Stanford currently leads the tournament at two-under-par after 18 holes. 

Park has been on a roll as of a recently, as she secured a share of the individual title at the Silverado Showdown on Apr. 10. That roll did not faulter after the first day, as she is tied for first at two-under-par. Park had a near bogey-free round, as she had a bogey at hole No. 1 and then followed that up with 14 pars and three bridies. 

 

The rest of the squad stood more in a pack, as they posted a 75-76-77-79 respectfully. Xin (Cindy) Kou put herself second on the squad with the 75, as she is tied for 17th at the tournament. Following her was Brianna Navarrosa, who posted a 76 (+4) and is tied for 30th

 

Shoemaker is the last counting score for the Women of Troy, as she put together a five-over-par outing. The freshman is currently tied for 37th. Rounding out the five is Amari Avery, as she posted a 79 (+7), which is tied for 44th

The Women of Troy head into day two looking to make some ground up, as they start teeing off at 9:50 a.m. tomorrow morning in Pullman, Washington.
