CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Former Illini are in action all across the world in the professional ranks this week, including a trio of competitors set to tee off at The Byron Nelson in Texas, and a three of former Illini each teeing off in China, Singapore, and Ecuador.
PGA TOUR
Fresh off their appearances at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans last weekend, Thomas Detry, Adrien Dumont de Chassart and Nick Hardy are all in the field at The CJ CUP Byrn Nelson.
A year after Hardy and teammate Davis Riley won the event, Detry and playing mate Robert MacIntyre posted a T8 finish. Hardy and Riley also made the cut and finished T28.

The Byron Nelson is held at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas, where all three Illini will be playing in the event for the first time in their professional careers.
Detry is currently No. 35 in the FedEx Cup rankings and sits at No. 67 in the Official World Golf Rankings.
DP WORLD TOUR
DP World Tour rookie Matthis Besard will be back in action this week to tee off at the Volvo China Open. It is Besard’s first event since late March when he made his fifth cut of the season and finished T47 at the Hero Indian Open.
The Volvo China Open is played at Hidden Grace Golf Course in Shenzhen, China.
Besard will also be in action later this month in his home country of Belgium for the Soudal Open, and was recently featured in a video to promote the DP World Tour event.
LIV GOLF LEAGUE
Thomas Pieters and the RangeGoats are back on the course for the second consecutive week as the LIV Golf League travels from Adelaide, Australia to compete this week in Sentosa, Singapore.
Pieters finished T14 in Adelaide, his second straight top-15 finish.

PGA TOUR AMERICAS
Tommy Kuhl’s season on the PGA Tour Americas continues this week at the Kia Open at Quito Tennis & Golf Club in Quito, Ecuador.
Kuhl has made three of four cuts this season on the PGA Tour Americas heading into play this week.
