CLE ELUM, Wash. (May 6, 2024) – Washington State women’s golf junior Madelyn Gamble finished day one of the 2024 NCAA Cle Elum Regionals with an 8-over round of 80 at the par-72, 6,306-yard Tumble Creek Golf Club.
Gamble parred hole 10 to start the day, and after a few bogeys, recorded a birdie on 14 before parring the next two to sit 3-over through seven holes of play. She would go on to finish the back nine at 6-over but settle in after making the turn, as she rattled off five straight pars. Gamble finished up with two bogeys and two more pars to wrap up round one at 8-over, 80, sitting tied for 60th among individuals.
Duke’s Anne Chen currently leads the individual field with a 5-under score of 67 after round one, while the Duke squad also sits atop the team leaderboard at 6-under, 282.
Gamble will continue with days two and three of the 2024 NCAA Cle Elum Regionals with a 10:50 a.m. PT round two tee time on Tuesday before the third and final round on Wednesday.
