LAS VEGAS – The second round of the Las Vegas Regional is in the books and the Arizona women’s golf team is in seventh place at 5-over par through two rounds after posting a team score of 1-under 287 on Tuesday at Spanish Trail Country Club. The Wildcats are three strokes behind Baylor for fifth place on the team leaderboard, with the top five teams at the end of Wednesday’s final round advancing to the NCAA Championship.
Arkansas holds the team lead at 16-under par through two rounds, with Purdue in second place at 12-under par. UCLA is third at 2-under and Florida State is fourth at 1-under with Baylor (+2), Oklahoma (+3) and Arizona (+5) also in contention. California is eighth at
13-over par.
The top five teams and the low individual not on an advancing team from each regional site following Wednesday’s final round will advance to compete in the NCAA Championships to be played May 17-22 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
