The market for home golf simulators is one of the biggest growth areas within the game right now, and Korean-based company Golfzon is right at the forefront of this phenomenon. With golfers getting ever time-poorer and requiring their recreation to fit conveniently around their work and family life, fitting one of the best home golf simulators is proving the answer for many.

In terms of the technology, The Golfzon WAVE system includes a bespoke version of its Vision software and I was genuinely impressed by the incredible high-definition 3D recreations of some of the world’s most famous courses, with incredibly realistic details right down to individual trees! With Vision WAVE you receive access to over 100 worldwide courses all from the comfort of your own home.
One area of separation with the Golfzon WAVE is the WAVE Putt device that Golfzon says allows golfers to play with extreme accuracy from the tee all the way to the green. Many other simulators have disappointingly inaccurate putting features, or in fact don’t actually allow you to putt at all, instead replacing with “auto-putt” features. I found the WAVE Putt device worked well, although it still does take some time to get comfortable with putting to a distance or number in your head rather than the familiar visual of a hole. That said, once you are used to it, it is good fun and much more accurate than many other simulator putting I have tried.

The playing experience is absolutely what I would want it to be. There are no unnecessarily long loading times, the written graphics are informative, and the clarity of the animations is exceptionally realistic. There are a number of formats that will suit a broad spectrum of golfers, from young kids and complete novices to more experienced, serious players, there really is something for everyone. Another feature that genuinely enhances the user experience is the super speedy response time when using theGolfzon WAVE. As soon as the ball hits the screen, the ball flight projection begins with little to no lag that can be apparent in other products. This really enhances the reality of the simulation.
