USC Women's Golf Set its Sights High as it Heads into NCAA Championship Final Site

LOS ANGELES—No. 7 USC women’s golf hopes to avenge last years runnerup status as it heads into the NCAA Championship Final Site for the 26th year in a row. The tournament is set for the newly renovated Omni La Costa Champions Course starting Friday, May 17 through Wednesday, May 22 in Carlsbad, Calif.  
 
COMPETITIVE SLATE (30): Auburn, Oregon, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tulsa, Ole Miss, *Texas, Wake Forest, Mississippi State, Oregon State, LSU, Clemson, SMU, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, Stanford, Duke, Virginia, Arizona State, San Jose State, USCOklahoma State, Michigan State, Northwestern, Pepperdine, Arkansas, Purdue, Baylor, UCLA, Florida State

WHERE: La Costa Champions Course (Par 72, 6,330 yards).

 

WHEN: The National Championship site commences on Friday, May 17 and will play three-rounds before the 30 team field is cut to 15 after the third round on Sunday, May 19. After the fourth round, on Monday, May 20, the field will once again be cut, as the top eight teams will enter into match play. Match play will begin on Tuesday, May 21 with the quarterfinals and semifinals happening before the National Championship on the final day (Wednesday, May 22).

Park has been sensational throughout the season but has found a new gear towards the latter half. During this season, the sophomore has posted three wins and seven top-ten finishes. Park has won two individual titles in her last three tournaments and placed tied for fifth in her latest result at the NCAA East Lansing Regional. Her three wins this season are the Stanford Intercollegiate (Oct. 22), the Silverado Showdown (Apr. 10) and the Pac-12 Championship (Apr. 23). Her three wins this season ties her with fellow Trojan Amari Avery (2022)…
