DURHAM – A pair of Duke women’s golfers – Rylie Heflin and Andie Smith – are set to compete in the 2024 Sea Island Women’s Amateur that will take place May 29-31 at the Sea Island Golf Club Seaside Course in St. Simons Island, Ga.
A total of 84 of the nation’s top amateur golfers will compete over 54 holes of stroke play.
It will mark the third straight year Smith has competed in the event as she turned in a tied for fifth placement in 2022 and tied for sixth a year ago. Heflin is coming off a tied for sixth finish in 2023 as well.
Heflin, who hails from Avondale, Pa., will open action at 9:20 a.m., off hole No. 1, while Smith, a native of Hobe Sound, Fla., tees off at 9:30 a.m., on hole No. 10.
