CARLSBAD, California – For the first time ever, a Tennessee men’s golfer earned professional status through PGA TOUR University, as announced Tuesday night.
By finishing No. 22 in PGA TOUR U’s final 2024 rankings, Bryce Lewis earns full status on PGA TOUR Americas through the remainder of the 2024 season.
Lewis, who departs Tennessee as the program’s record holder in career rounds of par or better with 91, capped off an electric redshirt senior campaign at the NCAA Championships Tuesday and was UT’s highest finisher after tying for 34th.
During the 2023-24 season, Lewis registered two podium finishes, a top-five SEC Championships finish and tied for sixth place at NCAA Regionals to guide the Vols to an NCAA Championships berth.
Throughout his Tennessee career, Lewis became a four-time PING All-Southeast Region selection and three-time All-SEC honoree.
In addition to his decorated sixth-year career on Rocky Top, Lewis competed in six U.S. Amateur tournaments and was at one time rated 26th in the world by World Amateur Golf Rankings.
