Amateurs who made the cut at Lancaster Country Club

2024 U.S. Women's Open

A total of 22 amateurs teed it up in the 2024 U.S. Women’s Open in a field of 156, which accounts for nearly 15 percent of the field at Lancaster Country Club.

Through 36 holes, the list of ams has been whittled to four but two are in the top five.

Megan Schofill, the 2023 U.S. Women’s Amateur champion who just wrapped up her fifth year at Auburn, and 15-year-old Asterisk Talley are 1 over through 36 holes and in a share of fifth.

When the week started, there were 10 countries represented including Ingrid Lindblad of Sweden, No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, Augusta National Women’s Amateur victor Lottie Woad of England and 2024 NCAA individual champion Adela Cernousek of France.

Here’s a look at the four ams advancing to the weekend as well as the list of those who came up short in Pennsylvania:

Talley shot 70-71 and is T-5 after 36 holes.

Schofill matched Talley with rounds of 70-71. Both are playing in their first USWO.

USC’s Catherine Park posted scores of 70-72 and is 2 over and in a share of 13th through two days.

The NCAA medalist opened with a 69 before posting a 79 on Friday. She made the cut on the number at 8 over and holds a share of 59th.

The list of the amateurs who missed the cut is headlined by Lindblad and Woad.

Also not moving on: Samantha Brown, Kimberly Dinh, Aine Donegan, Maisie Filler, Junia Gabasa, Megha Ganne, Chiara Horder, Cindy Hsu, Katie Li, Keeley Marx, Kiara Romero, Pimpisa Sisutham, Caroline Smith, Latanna Stone and Amelie Zalsman.
