Drone video of all 18 holes at Pinehurst No. 2

Pinehurst No. 2 is set to host its fourth U.S. Open, and if early weather projections prove true, the 156 players in the field are in for a firm and bouncy test in North Carolina.

Pinehurst No. 2 is famous for its difficult greens, and the course is dry and firm, each hump and bump takes on added meaning. Often domed-shaped, the putting surfaces feature run-offs in many directions, forcing players to precisely execute demanding approach shots – failing that, they must then execute demanding recoveries. Throw in the sandy waste areas straddling most fairways, and No. 2 is a great test that will challenge the world’s best.

To see what’s in store, Golfweek videographer Gabe Gudgel captured drone footage of each hole at No. 2. Accompanying the visuals is a description of each hole by the USGA’s Jeff Hall, the managing director of the U.S. Open.
