Virginia Athletics | 2024-25 Schedule Announced for UVA Women’s Golf

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia women’s golf coach Ria Scott announced the program’s 2024-25 schedule today (June 14). The slate includes a pair of international tournaments and two home events including the 2025 NCAA Charlottesville Regional.

“We always look to provide our student-athletes with competition that prepares them to be champions as well as providing them world-class experiences,” Scott said. “This year’s schedule accomplishes that, in addition to two special opportunities to compete at home.

“We value the opportunity to give our team competitive advantages and potentially life-changing experiences. We look forward to another year with a diverse schedule, and then hosting the first-ever NCAA women’s regional at Birdwood next May.”

The Cavaliers head overseas to start the season on Sept. 4-6 at the Pan-Pacific UGSL Tournament at Grand Fields Country Club in Mishima, Japan. With Mt. Fuji as a backdrop, the Cavaliers will compete against collegiate-level teams from Japan and South Korea.

Virginia will host the Cavalier Regional Preview on Sept. 23-24 at Birdwood Golf Course. With UVA set to host a NCAA Regional site in the spring, the Regional Preview will be attract a top field as teams look to get experience on Birdwood before the postseason. Teams set to participate are Augusta, Charlotte, Illinois, Iowa, Georgetown, Maryland, North Carolina, NC State, Penn State, Richmond and Tennessee.

The Cavaliers close out the fall with familiar stops at Northwestern’s Windy City Collegiate Classic (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) and at the Stanford Intercollegiate (Oct. 18-20).

UVA opens the spring portion of its schedule by hosting the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club for the fourth time. Set in the downtown district of Mexico’s seventh largest city, the tournament features a unique format of 27 holes each day.

Back-to-back trips to Florida are up next for the Hoos. UVA plays at Louisville’s Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne (Feb. 17-19) before making its inaugural appearance at Florida’s Gators Invitational in Gainesville (March 7-9).

The Cavaliers will sandwich a pair of match play events – The Old Barnwell in Aiken, S.C. (March 28-30) and the Wolfpack Match Play in Raleigh, N.C. (April 7) around an opportunity to play the Honors Course during the Chattanooga Classic (March 28-30).

The postseason gets underway when the Cavaliers travel to Sedgefield Country Club for the ACC Championships (April 16-19)….
